Piedmont Health Services and Sickle Cell Agency will offer cholesterol, blood glucose and blood pressure screenings, as well as breast health screenings. Moses Cone Health System will have dieticians on site to provide nutritional advice. Job Links will have a booth about employment opportunities.
These screenings are part of a larger effort on the part of the Guilford County Department of Public Health to offer health services outside of the clinical setting. “Taking our clinical services into the community can help break down some barriers like access to care,” states Merle Green, Health Director.
